Our Food
The food we provide is just as important, if not more, than the attention we give to our curriculum and practice. We take a great deal of care to ensure that our kitchen is kept clean and we have achieved a 5 star rating by the Food Standards Agency. We employ chefs who are enthusiastic about keeping a clean kitchen and who have a real love for cooking delicious food for children.
Our menus have been designed to provide a balanced and nutritious diet by following Eat Better Start Better guidelines by the Children's Food Trust. We have been certified by Healthy Early Years London and the Mayor of London as a result of following the guidance. Our menus have factored in guidance for a healthy and balanced diet, while ensuring that they are tasty snacks and meals that we would like to eat ourselves. Our menus rotate every three weeks so that the children can experience variety of what they eat and when they eat it. Please swipe the menu below to see the three menus that we have developed.
We are working towards being able to contribute to the ingredients we use by picking vegetables and fruits that the children have grown themselves. We do so when possible but we are working towards providing a consistent supply of vegetables so that all children can regularly take pride in knowing that they are eating food that they have grown themselves.
